The Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, located in Truckee, California, is committed to providing the highest quality cancer treatment and care to our patients. We strive to offer the most current cancer diagnostic therapeutic modalities, creating a Model for Rural Cancer Care.

With equipment and technology on par with urban health systems, including Varian TrueBeam radiation therapy, the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center offers medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment, PET/CT scan, CT scan, ultrasound, digital mammography, chemotherapy infusion, pharmacy and lab, in addition to a comprehensive physical therapy, family support program and psychosocial services program.

Some of the best opportunities for clinical trials exist through the cancer center's affiliation with the UC Davis Cancer Care Network. Benefits of clinical trials include new drugs, therapies, and treatment strategies for difficult to treat cancers. UC Davis is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Since its inception in 2006, the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center has provided cancer treatment to the residents of Truckee, North Lake Tahoe and beyond.
